Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

Term 6 Week 7 13th July 2020

Welcome to Week 7 everyone. This is the last week of Term 6 so this will be the last week of home learning for Term 6. Keep up the fantastic effort with these suggested activities and remember to email in if you can what you have been able to do at home.

Maths

This week we are looking at lines of symmetry, symmetric figures and describing position using coordinates. Please see Summer term  Week 12 (w/c 13th July) on White Rose. Remember to watch the videos before having a go at completing the sheets (attached at the bottom of this blog). If you find the activities on symmetry a bit tricky, I recommend having a look at the BBC Bitesize for some extra practice.

English

There are no specific spellings this week, so I would really like you to have a look again at the Year 3/4 spellings list and have a go at learning as many of these as you can. The list is attached at the bottom of this blog if needed.

The Talk for Writing booklet is Amazing Aliens. Try a couple of pages a day if you can, as it will keep you familiar with the Talk 4 Writing process. See previous blog for booklet.

Project

For those of you who have finished the mini beasts project we are going to do something different for the last week of school; Children’s Art Week.

This week’s theme is Literacy and Creative Writing.  You could have a look at the website and some suggested activities but we know how creative you are and that you can think up your own ideas!  It could be sketching, painting, sculpture, photography, animation, modelling or textiles that is linked to a creative story you have written.

If you have any questions on any of these suggested activities, please email me at boughtonyr4@gmail.com. Have a good week everyone.
