Term 6 Week 3 15th June 2020
Hello everyone. Welcome to Week 3 of this term, I hope everyone is safe and well.
On White Rose Summer term – Week 8 (w/c 15th June) they are focusing on ordering fractions, adding fractions, subtracting fractions and problem-solving fractions. These tasks were set as a suggested task back in April. So, this can give you a chance to recap the topic or you can click on the link that says “Already covered this content?” This will take you to videos about adding lengths, subtracting lengths, measure perimeter and calculate perimeter. I will attach all worksheets and answers for both units below so you can choose which activities you would like to complete.
Hopefully you’ve made a start on our Talk For writing booklet. If not, the link for the booklet is below.
Spellings this week are looking at the rule, words ending with a /cher/ sound, spelt with ‘ture’. Please let me know what you get in your home learning tests to earn extra house points. The list of spellings is attached as a document at the end of this blog.
A reminder about the story Year 3 and other Key Stage 2 children are listening to in school.
The Ickabog by J.K. Rowling. This story is being released completely free, online if you follow the link below. There is also an illustration competition running which is linked on the website and open until the 17thJuly. This is a chance to have your drawing included in the book when it is printed later this year which would be amazing! Let me know if you have a go and I'd love to hear what you think about the book. I am going to try to read it too.
Just a little reminder that the children in school are taking part in the Northamptonshire Sport Virtual School Games. If you haven't checked it out yet the link is below. Lots of house points are available for taking part!
It was lovely to see that so many of you have started your Minibeast activities and sent in some pictures and updates. Keep working on those activities and hunting for bugs!
If you have any questions on any of these suggested activities, please email me on firstname.lastname@example.org . I hope you all have another great week.
