Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

Sun Safety

Now that summer is finally here, the children have been learning in assembly about the importance of sun safety.  They know that it is very important to have a named hat which stays in school.  They also have been told to bring a named sun cream into school which must only be used on themselves before going out to play at lunchtime.  A roll-on is often easier for children to apply themselves.  We will encourage children to apply their own sun cream, if possible.  Younger children in our school will have brought home a letter for parents to give permission for staff to help with the application, if necessary.

As always we will be encouraging children to drink plenty of water throughout the day.  In the case of extreme heat like last summer, we will follow the government recommendations and communicate this with you at that time.

We would also like to let you know that the BSA are now providing Boughton Primary School baseball caps, which can be ordered as a regular cap or with a neck flap.  These will be on sale or for order, for £8 at our Summer Celebration on Friday 9th of June.

If you have any questions please speak to your child’s teacher.
