Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

BSA AGM - news and thanks

Many thanks to the parents who took the time to attend the Boughton School Association's Annual General Meeting last night.

As a registered charity, the BSA has to have a formal meeting annually to approve its constitution and accounts, and to elect officers for the next year.  This is linked to the financial year rather than the school year, hence meeting in March.

I am delighted to inform you that all of our committee members have been re-elected for a second term of office:

Co-chairs - Sarah Watson and Emily Jelley

Vice-chairs - Aurelie Herve and Zoe Whiting

Secretary - Nicola Cassidy and Lisa Deighan

Treasurer - Deryck Watson

During the meeting, we reviewed the work of the committee since they took office in June.  They have organised events which have raised over £2.5K - quite an achievement in such a short time!  On behalf of the staff, I would like to thank everyone involved for their efforts.

Last night, it was agreed that the funds will go towards:

- purchasing visualisers for each classroom

- purchasing a screen and laptop for the hall

- subsidising a whole school trip in the summer term

- subsidising Y6 leavers' events in the summer term

Parents who attended last night's meeting were entered into a prize draw to win a free ticket for their child to a forthcoming event.

The lucky winner was: Arlo (Y2).

The next BSA meeting will be on Tuesday 28th March, 7p.m. at The Whitehills.
