Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

Independence Challenge

This week's character strength is Independence - learning to do things for ourselves.  We have spoken to the children about different ways they can show independence in school and in their learning, but would also like them to demonstrate and grow this strength at home too!

There is an age-appropriate chore list attached.  It would be great if you could have a discussion with your child about some appropriate activities/ chores they could do independently at home.  Can they organise their book bag?  Make their bed?  Take out the bins?  Help with dinner?  We would love to hear from you if they have really been making an effort.  We know lots of children are already doing activities independently but maybe they could do some more?  Every child is different, and you know your child best.  Please email child's teacher to let them know what they have been doing to improve their independence!
