Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
'Kind words, Kind deeds, Kind thoughts'

Plans for next week and beyond

Update: The DfE has now published the list of Key Workers, the link is attached at the end of this post.  I will be able to now work on a plan for the coming weeks.

Key messages:

If your work is critical to the COVID-19 response, or you work in one of the critical sectors listed and you cannot keep your child safe at home then your children will be prioritised for education provision.

We are down to 50% teacher/TA staff, please bear this in mind.  Some staff who are in vulnerable groups will not be able to return to work at all until schools reopen fully, whilst those with symptoms who are self-isolating can't return for 14 days.

We will not have a full staff complement in school each day as we also need to ensure social distancing, to stem the spread of the virus.  I have a duty of care to all stakeholders and need to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of staff and pupils.

If you have already emailed admin@boughtonacademy.co.uk we will be responding to you today. Now that the list has been published, please have a look and email admin@boughtonacademy.co.uk if you need your child included in our provision.  Please could you indicate the days on which you will need provision.

Provision will be for school hours only and children will need to bring a packed lunch.

I will send out a letter later today with final arrangements and parents who will be accessing this emergency provision will be contacted directly by email.

Many thanks for your support and understanding.
