Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

Macmillan Prize Winners

Yesterday, the children took part in our alternative Macmillan event, brilliantly organised by Mrs Loveday and Miss Rice.

Mrs Loveday and Miss Rice spent Tuesday evening baking 190 fairy cakes for the children to decorate!  Every child was able to decorate and eat their cake, as well as taking part in two competitions: name the bear and Colin's Conundrum.

Every year, Mrs Loveday knits a beautiful Boughton bear, as a very special prize.  The winning pupil was Caitlin, Year 4, who named the bear "Henry".  We hope Henry will be very happy in his new home!

There was a picture competition, Colin's Conundrum, where the children had to guess the number of sprinkles on a Colin the Caterpillar Cake.  The closest guess was by Esa, Year 2.

Thank you very much to Mrs Loveday and Miss Rice for their hard work in organising a fabulous day of events, for a cause that is close to so many of our hearts.  As one of the children said, "This is the best day ever!"

Finally, a huge thank you to our Boughton families for your generosity, as always.  The final total raised will be shared with everyone next week.
