Alongside some other important work last term, Year 6 created some amazing playground structures. 

First, the children did some research looking at existing playground structures and we came up with a design brief that had to be followed as we designed and created our own playgrounds. 

Our playgrounds needed:

- a moving object

- somewhere to hide

- to be colourful

- to be safe

We then sketched some ideas, picked the ones we wanted to build and planned them on a map of our existing playground. 

We used wood, straws, pipe cleaners, cardboard and other recycled materials to build our structures.
