Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

Our Week

I’ve had a lot of updates this week, it’s lovely to see and hear what you’ve been up to. I have also been seeing some of you around school and the other teachers have been letting me know what you’ve been up to.

This week Brianna has been exploring her cooking skills again. She has tried to make a roast dinner and a roast ham with broccoli and roasted hedgehog potatoes. She even made some delicious gravy! It’s lovely to see you are developing a new skill.

Willow has been enjoying doing her minibeasts project and working through her Talk For Writing booklet. She has also been baking cakes and helping her brother ride his bike without stabilisers. Willow said she misses school very much. I think we all miss being in school or miss being in our normal year group classes.

Alfie has had a fun week of learning new things. He has made some tie-dye t-shirts, walked to the rock snake in Moulton to add to his family’s special sands United rock and has had a lovely walk in Harlestone firs. Alfie has been working daily on his Maths and spellings, he has enjoyed the combination of Mathletics and White Rose Maths. Alfie even carried out a floating and sinking experiment linked with the topic forces and magnets! Keep up the great work.

Harry has been doing BBC bitesize, Mathletics and reading every day. He has also carried out a lava experiment, it looks super cool!

Jake has been very busy this week. He has been completing some comprehension tasks and he is also enjoying the Talk For Writing booklet. Jake has been listening to The Ickabog book by JK Rowling and he has drawn pictures to illustrate chapter 1. He has continued to care for his growing plants and has started working on the minibeast project focusing on pollinators. I received a video of Jake tracking a bee and he explains in the video how bees pollinate. Jake has been completing some Maths tasks and he is trying to become confident with his times tables knowledge too. Finally, he has been completing a daily bike ride and he has been focusing on his road safety whilst doing this. You have been super busy. Well done!

Harry has been in school for some of the days this week and Mrs Allen shared with me that Harry built a house for the Three little pigs for a science investigation. He tested it and he found it was sturdy and secure. Phew!

Everyone keep up the great work!
