All children have made a great start to Year 3 and they have been learning lots of new facts and skills. 

In History, the children have been learning about the Stone Age and this has been linked to our writing where the children have been learning to write a set of instructions on how to wash a Stone Age animal.

In Maths, the children have been developing their skills in place value and have now moved onto learning how to add and subtract using a written formal method. This is a super tricky skill but the children are showing perseverance and when they are secure in this, it will help them throughout the rest of their school lives. 

In the afternoons, the children have been developing their PSHE, computing, DT, PE, RE and science skills in many different topics. These can be found on our long term curriculum map. 

We all look forward to a success Term 2 including Halloween, Firework night, remembrance and Christmas activities.
