I can't believe we are at week 9! See this blog post to find out what Year 3 have been up to.
Hello everyone, we are at the end of another week. This coming week is half term so I hope you all find time to relax and enjoy the fantastic weather we are receiving. Thank you once again to everyone who has emailed in this week.
It’s been great to see all your hard work and activities this week. Harry continues to read every day and has been keeping active with doing lots of sport. He has completed his countries project by producing a PowerPoint on Australia and I’ve seen some lovely pictures of puzzles Harry has completed.
Evie has been getting high scores in her weekly spelling tests. Well done! She hosted a quiz for her friends and has been keeping active with gymnastics, biking and running. Finally, this week Evie prepared a menu and cooked for her family. Evie made a profit out of this when she charged her family for the food (ha-ha).
Jake has been working hard again by reading every day and completing some comprehension tasks. He received a watch for his birthday and is learning to tell the time. He has been cooking for his family and has been caring for his plants he planted at the start of the term. Finally, Jake has gone all out on his countries project, he has been doing lots and lots of research and activities on Egypt. Well done!!
Katie has done a fantastic job on her own countries project. She has been focusing on Kenya and has recreated the flag, found lots of flags and made a 3D model showing the big 5! I am super impressed Katie!
Once again Jack has been busy baking cakes and practising his spellings. He has also been enjoying the weather in his paddling pool.
This week Amaar has been busy on Mathletics using concrete objects to support his learning and he has also been enjoying the sun in his paddling pool.
Alfie has been practising his football skills when he has been out on a walk with his family. He has been making and delivering quizzes to his family members and has really been enjoying art activities during lockdown. Last Thursday, Alfie took part in a Guinness World Record attempt for the most amount of people in an online YouTube video art lesson. He really enjoyed this and is really proud of his end result. He has stuck it in the window to show everyone.
Finally, Willow emailed in to let me know she has been busy with her Maths work and has helped her brother with his reading. Willow’s uncle has set her a challenge to read a chapter of Harry Potter each week. This is a fantastic challenge as it is a challenging but great book to read! Brooklyn and Willow have designed a quiz together for their families. It is lovely to see you are in touch and working together.
Keep working hard, having fun and helping out at home where you can. I know it is not easy and somedays are tricky but it will end sometime soon! I hope everyone has a great half term.
