Letter FAO Y1 parents only
We are now beginning our preparations to welcome back Y1 pupils from Monday 8th June 2020, if it is safe to do so.
Please could parents of all pupils in Year 1 read the attached letter AND complete the form. This is a new form to help us finalise our planning for the week commencing 8th June and beyond. Parents with shared parental responsibility should both read the letter and ideally agree their joint approach. Attendance during this period is not mandatory, and whilst schools are being asked to strongly encourage pupils to return, parents will need to make the final decision about what they believe to be in their child's best interests.
From 8th June, Year 1 pupils who have been attending as part of our Keyworker group will be accommodated within a "bubble", with their peers, in line with the DfE guidance; the letter includes an explanation of this and a link to the most recent guidance.
We hope to welcome as many pupils back as we can and are aiming to do so in as safe a way as possible.
Children living with a family member who is shielding should not return to school at this stage.
The information on the second page of the letter, and on the Information for Parents document published yesterday, should help to answer any questions you may have.
If there is anything else you need to know, please email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org in the first instance and we will do our best to assist you.
