Some of our statutory policies have been updated and uploaded to the school website for the new academic year.
The Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy has been updated in line with statutory guidance (Keeping Children Safe in Education, September 2019). This policy will be ratified by the Full Governing Body at their next meeting. All staff (teachers, teaching assistants, lunchtime and admin staff) had a full day's statutory safeguarding training from Barnado's on Monday 2nd September 2019; this policy reflects the discussions we had as a full staff team and agreements about our processes in school.
Our Behaviour Policy (Years 1 to 6) has also been updated and parents should have received a leaflet last week, outlining the changes we have made to the application of our "1,2,3" systems, both in the classroom and playground, including how decisions will be made to issue yellow or red cards.
This has been uploaded in the form of a presentation.
Both new policies can be found by visiting our "Key Information" section on the website, then navigate to "Policies" and to the relevant folder.
We will be updating several other policies this term and I will notify parents when we do so.
