Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

Our Week

We have now finished Week 4 of Term 6 and lots of you are still completing many activities.

Jake has been reading some new books at home and completing comprehension activities on them. He is using a dictionary to find out the definitions of unfamiliar words, his favourite this week is ‘Wrath’. Jake has continued to work on his Maths and Minibeast project by watching minibeast documentaries. Finally, Jake has welcomed some new pets this week, they now have 3 Malawi predator fish and 2 catfish in their aquarium at home. Jake enjoys watching the fish go crazy at mealtimes! They literally flip themselves out of the water and this delights Jake!

Jack has been busy working on his mini-beast project. He has decided to focus on spiders, he has taken lots of photographs of spiders in his garden and he has done some research. Jack has also been working hard on his weekly spellings and he has been completing lots of maths work.

Katie has also been working on her mini-beasts project. She has made a bar chart showing people’s favourite mini-beasts, she has researched about different minibeasts and made a PowerPoint presentation to show what she has found. Katie has created some butterfly artwork and has made a bug hotel. Wow! Super work.

Amaar has been busy the past couple of weeks keeping up with Mathletics tasks and he is reading as often as he can. He has also been practising his weekly spellings. Well done! Keep up the good work.

This week Willow has been working hard on her Mini-Beast and English project. She has taught her brother how to ride his bike without stabilisers and she went on a bike ride with her grandad. Willow has also started her golf lessons again.

Harry has continued to work on Mathletics, BBC bitesize and White Rose. He has also been reading and he is working on his Mini-beasts project focusing on Woodlice. Harry made a damper and then his family cooked it on the firepit. He is still playing football, swimming and has enjoyed picking cherries this week.

I have been busy this week ringing families for a quick ‘check in’. It was been lovely speaking to some of the children and I hope to contact you all over the next couple of weeks. It was also lovely seeing lots of you on the Year 3 Zoom assembly yesterday.
