Our Week

I have to start by saying thank you for all the birthday messages, it really did make my day! As soon as we get back to school there will be cake for us all.

Another busy week. I really am blown away with all the things you are doing at home, we understand how difficult it must be and whether it is the suggested tasks or your own ideas you are all doing a marvellous job!!

Elize has been busy with lots of Mathletics, reading, spellings and working on the other tasks set. She has been working on her computing skills making a presentation on the solar system. Elize has been active with her gymnastics on the trampoline and working out with Joe Wicks, she has also been out walking and saw the ducklings in the park. The cress Elize has planted continues to grow. Elize celebrated her dads birthday with a bbq and has had video calls with her friends and dropped sweets and cards, to show she misses them.

Franklin has enjoyed painting and creating lots of arty things. He has been shadow drawing in the garden, painting rainbows for the window, the solar system and made cards for his family. Franklin has worked hard on his maths and english, practicing his verbs, adjectives and nouns, writing some fun sentences. He has been working with his brother, learning about Victorians and has been learning about different flags and lots of facts about France and the Effiel Tower. He has been helping mum teach Baby Ballet classes. His favourite part of the last few weeks was when he got to visit his on ‘Beatties Pizzeria’ in his own kitchen and daddy dressed up for the occasion!

Zilu has been busy on Mathletics and practising working on suffixes, playing games with brother.

Harrison has started his glossary for the science task and has been active and busy going out for walks and bike rides. He has been baking, Lego building and making dens.

Evie O is planning to take us all for a walk to find the alpacas she has been visiting, she has given them all names, Al, Alan, Andy, Amy, Anna and Ariana. She has written a lovely letter to describe how she feels about the Coronavirus. Evie has been breaking maths codes, playing puzzles with her sister, as well as completing common exception word crosswords. She has revisited the continents and planets to help embed her learning. Evie keeps practicing her dancing daily and has completed her rainbow picture for Mrs James.

Alfie has been completing lots of tricky work on Mathletics, as well as spellings and reading. He has completed his work on space and has finished his Lego Harry Potter night bus. Alfie has completed the plan for his report and has learnt how to sew, super life skill. Alfie has started on his booklet and his glossary.

Jacob’s sunflower is growing nicely and this week they are celebrating Captain Tom’s 100th birthday.

Hayley has been practicing her times tables and completing work sheets. She is working on a project on the seasons, as well as reading and learning the new spellings. Hayley has been keeping fit going on bike rides and playing on the trampoline.

Alex has been busy writing and working on numbers and addition. He has been using the light up board he got for his birthday, to practise spellings of his favourite Mario characters names. Alex has been playing bat and ball games with his brother and has been making gingerbread men. He has been taking care of his Guinea pig, Georgie.

Ava has created her science glossary and has started her Talk for Writing work. She has been keeping up with her Mathletics, reading and spellings. Ava has been enjoying days in the garden and in evenings playing games and watching films.

Blake has been doing lots of maths, he has been working hard on his times tables and begun working on time, to support his learning on position and direction. He has also been adding big numbers using column addition. Blake has started working on his Talk for Writing work as well as reading.

Chloe has been busy with her maths and doing lots of reading.

Jessica has been busy this week helping her family, finding materials to make face masks for her family and learning how to sew. She now wants to use her new skill to help NHS.

Amelie has been busy practicing her trampolining and doing lots of reading. She has used a pinecone to make a bug.

Jamie has had a lovely weekend out on his bike. He enjoyed a tea party with his sister for her birthday.

Molly has made her science glossary and has been out searching the local fields for habitats, she found some rabbit burrows and birds nests in bushes. Molly has been having fun splashing in the puddles and baking cakes. As well as completing her own work she has been listening and helping Henry read.

Caitlin has been looking at habitats identifying living things, dead and never alive around the house and has been grouping the things she has found.
