Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

Term 6 Week 7 13th July 2020

This is the last week of Term 6, and also the last week of home learning for Term 6.

Maths

Please see Summer term  Week 12 (w/c 13th July) on White Rose. This week the focus is comparing capacity, adding and subtracting capacity, pictograms and bar charts. During the capacity tasks you could try measuring different liquids around your house using different measurements, for example litres, millilitres, pints etc. This is a practical and concrete way of learning new skills.  We covered pictograms and bar charts in school before Christmas so this will be a great chance for a recap.

There is no spelling list for this week. I would like to you to focus on the 3/4 spelling list and try your hardest to learn as many as possible. I have attached the list at the bottom of this blog if needed.

Project

For those of you who have finished the mini beasts project we are going to do something different for the last week of school. This week’s theme is Literacy and Creative Writing.  You could have a look at the website and some suggested activities but we know how creative you are and that you can think up your own ideas!  It could be sketching, painting, sculpture, photography, animation, modelling, textiles, that is linked to a creative story you have written.

If you have any questions on any of these suggested activities, please email me on boughtonyr3@gmail.com . I hope you all have another great week and hopefully it’s not so hot.
