On this page you will find links to activities and websites suited to all age groups, plus national resources that have been rolled out to support home-learning during the pandemic.  Follow the links below and the tabs on the left for more information.

Weekly expectations

KEY STAGE SUBJECT TASKS
Foundation Stage (Reception) Maths & English: Phonics, Kinetic Letters and Helicopter Stories Pre-recorded tasks sent out via Tapestry, with updates on the blog to support parents.
Key Stage One & Two Maths (daily)

Children need to complete tasks on Mathletics (the programme prevents children from accessing other activities until they have completed set tasks, teachers can see progress).

Parents should use the White Rose Home Learning resources to help their children work on what they would be learning at school.  Teachers will provide weekly tasks and guidance on their class page.

  English: reading (daily) Read 5 times per week and complete any comprehension tasks set on the class page.
  English: writing (daily)

Talk 4 Writing units for the whole school - follow the link on your class page.

  English: spelling (at least weekly) Weekly spellings according to year group lists.

BBC BITESIZE

Since Monday 20th April, BBC Bitesize has been broadcasting lessons suitable for pupils in Year 1 upwards.  For further information, follow this link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zn9447h

You can also access the lessons via BBC iplayer or the red button.

A few parents have given some feedback about this and have said how they’ve found Bitesize really helpful, especially having everything in one place.  It’s definitely worth a look to help support what you are doing at home.

OAK NATIONAL ACADEMY

The government announced the launch of a national academy to support home learning, which opened on Monday 20th April.
