Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
'Kind words, Kind deeds, Kind thoughts'

All schools to close from Friday until further notice - what does this mean at Boughton?

The Prime Minister tonight announced that all schools in England will close on Friday, except to the children of "key workers" and those classed as vulnerable.

I am in the process of collating more information, so that we can be completely clear which families this applies to.

Please note, anyone already at home due to illness or self-isolating will need to follow the government guidance and remain at home for the full 14 days, along with everyone in the household.  Unless they are in the groups identified by the government, they will not be returning to school until schools reopen nationally.

I will publish a letter via School News as soon as I can.

In the meantime, we remain open tomorrow and Friday to those pupils who are not already self-isolating.  We are now down to a very thinned-out, skeleton staff but we remain committed to providing continuity of care for your children.

Thank you for your understanding, tolerance and compassion during this most unusual of times.
