Children in Reception have been posting on Tapestry about all the wonderful things they have been doing at home. The montage on Tapestry shows lots of children having fun and really demonstrating our Boughton Bs and Values. Children have been,
Matthew lost his first tooth
Painting pictures for family and friends
Being super siblings
Playing in paddling pools in the sun
Planting in the garden
Playing maths games
Having a go at writing
Having Helicopter Stories scribed and acting them out
This week's home learning sessions are on Tapestry but you can also access the video lessons here and use the password, 'Reception1'.

There is a maths scavenger hunt you can do with your child this week, which involves comparing and adding and using tally charts. This is also attached.
Our whole-class Helicopter Story is making its way round to everyone. It's already a wonderfully creative story. I can't wait to show you the completed story when it's ready.
Play really is king for young children. They can learn so much through play and the bonus is they don't even realise it.
Here are some links to some fab play resource websites that I'm using at home too and attached is a lovely play booklet produced by another Early Years teacher with some fab, easy to do at home ideas.
This website has some lovely videos to watch which then encourage children to go on their own hunts for numbers, secret symbols and messages
This website has some easy to set up play activities, with something new to follow each day https://www.eyfshome.com/
