Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

Year 5's Ribbon Run: Wednesday 13th October 2021

Along with Miss Rice and Mrs James, Class 5 will be taking part in a Ribbon Run, on Wednesday, in aid of Sands, as part of Baby Loss Awareness week.  We have decided we will run (or walk) 5K, around the school field.

Sands is a charity supporting research, training healthcare professionals to provide the right care and ensuring there is support for anyone affected by the loss of a baby.  They are currently developing resources for children grieving the loss of a sibling following baby or pregnancy loss, to improve mental health outcomes.

As a school, we strongly believe that the emotional and mental health of our children is of paramount importance, and want to ensure that we are working towards breaking barriers associated with bereavement and loss of any kind, but especially this most tragic of loss.

If you would like to support Sands, by making a donation, please follow the link to our Just Giving page:

Class 5 Just Giving

As a thank you to our wonderful Year 5's for taking part, we will have a hot chocolate treat when we've finished the run.  Well, that is, if Mrs James and Miss Rice are still standing!
