Another busy week in Year 2

Elize has been busy doing lots of research and using computing to show her work. She has created 3 PowerPoints on Wonder Women, Antarctica and the Solar System. Elize has continued the hard work completing lots of tasks. Her wild flowers have started to grow and she has made some more delicious Krispie cakes. Elize has been a great help decorating her room and did some amazing stencils. Elize continues to keep fit practising her gymnastics and walking her dog finding VE Day things in the woods.

Frankie has been completing work in BBC Bitesize and reading ‘Grandpas Great Adventures’ by David Walliams. He has made a geography poster about the Obelisk Point and celebrated VE Day with his neighbours.

Jacob has enjoyed working on shape in Mathletics, identifying faces and edges.

Blake has continued working hard in maths and english completing workbooks. He is challenging himself daily and is enjoying being independent. Blake continues to read daily and has worked on an art project with his dad building a rocket.

Evie G has completed her poem for the Magic Box and made her own magic box. She also continues to work hard on Mathletics and SPaG. Evie had a fairy adventure with her superhero brother for a home school day.

Ava has been working on her Talk for Writing work, whilst reading everyday, practising her spellings and learning the apostrophe rules.

Jamie has been busy completing his Talk for Writing unit and has created a magic box. He has created his superhero Unicorn Rainbow Man and a villain Chicken Man! Jamie had a picnic to celebrate VE Day and watched the Red Arrows fly by.

Caitlin has started a sewing project and is making an owl cushion. She continues to work hard in maths and learn her spellings. In science Caitlin has carried on working on animals looking at the different groups. Caitlin has been looking at China inspired by seeing the work her sister has been doing.

Molly has been creative with the Julia Donaldson book ‘Stick Man’ and has made Stick Lady Love. In the garden Molly’s sunflower continues to grow tall and her potatoes and tomatoes have also started to grow, but she is waiting for the garlic to show.

Mathletics

Another super effort in Mathletics this week 34,100 activity points.

Bronze awards go to Jamie, Paige, Sophia, Evie G, Caitlin, Tommy, Jacob, Elize, Harrison, Chloe, Molly and Zilu

Silver awards go to Jamie, Evie G, Harrison and Molly.
