Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

Our Week

Well here we are at the end of another week and half-way through May!  I can't quite believe where the time is going.  Sometimes it feels like it is going so fast, other times it has never ever felt so slow!  Very strange.

It's been great to see all your hard work and activities this week.  Lots of you have been sending in your country projects which look great.  Keep working on them if you aren't quite done, I would love to see them.  Lexi has really gone for it and created presentations on the United Kingdom, the Bahamas and Greece.  Blair and Charlie created a super powerpoint all about Australia.  They have also been taking part in lots of Zoom events with the residents in Mum and Dad's care homes. Kian has been working hard at all of his lessons, writing a story and helping his little brother rescue some toys from ice!  Lewis and his sister have been using mathematical and scientific skills while making a delicious lemon meringue pie.   Callan was busy helping prepare a family VE Day celebration in the sunshine, including practising his fractions and decimals while making kebabs for the barbecue!  Harry has been doing some interesting science experiments with bacteria, painting the fence and doing some scary looking flips on his trampoline in the sunshine!  Hannah and her brother are enjoying the good weather in the garden and getting a bit wet!  Edward has been completing all his work and enjoying some long walks and baking with his sister.  Flynn has read Kidnap in the Caribbean this week.  This is the second of the Laura Marlin series of books, remember we read the first, Dead Man's Cove?  Both he and Mrs Warfield thought it was really good so might be worth checking out if you are looking for a new book.   I know lots of you have read The Secret Garden.  Flynn chose to complete his country project on Australia and you can see from the pictures, he has been making boomerangs, maps and presenting his project in an interesting way!

Keep working hard, having fun and help out at home where you can.  I know this is not easy and some days are very tricky but it will end sometime!  Look out for the new home learning on Monday, did you remember that next week is the last week of this term?   ;)
