Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

Stone Age Painting

Year 3's learning this week

Last week the children started learning about addition and subtraction in Maths. They practised their own opening paragraphs for their instruction writing and we completed some art activities in the afternoons.

In art, the children scavenged for natural materials to make different pigments on a piece of paper. We then went onto making our own paint using flour, water, turmeric and cinnamon. This was great fun!

On Friday, the children continued their double page spread about Skara Brae and we started to learn about Stonehenge.

The children worked together to create a representation of Stonehenge on our school field. We took an aerial photograph on a drone, but unfortunately technology failed on us, so we do not have the photograph as evidence.
