Year 3 children have had a great start to the year! We have introduced our topic ‘Stone age, Bronze age and Iron age’. Yesterday, we started to read our class book The Wild Way Home by Sophie Kirtley and the children made some good predictions about the book and its story line;

“I predict it will transform into the Stone Age and he gets stuck.” - Beatrix

“I think it will turn into the Stone Age then the Bronze Age then the Iron Age.” - Harvey

Today, the children learned about cave paintings and then they created some of their own. We tipped the tables on their sides so that the children could experience painting on a cave wall. It was a lot of fun!
