Boughton Primary School
School History
Boughton Primary School was first established in 1841 by the Howard-Vyse family as a Church of England School, attached to the local Parish Church. Almost a century later the Local Authority opened the present building in Moulton Lane.
The school now has 5 classrooms, a quiet area for working in small groups and a library that has been extensively upgraded in the last year. We also have a hall that was opened in 1994 due to the generosity of the Robert Horne Foundation, together with a staff room, kitchen and storage areas. In April 2001 we completed the construction of an ICT Suite which is used on a daily basis and the following year we were able to finance the renovation of the children's toilet facilities.
Over the next few months we are embarking on a major redecoration project as part of our continued drive to provide an environment that encourages "Excellence Through Effort and Enjoyment"
