Term 6 Week 6 6th July 2020
Welcome to Week 6 everyone, it's Mr Wilson here! Can you believe that we are already in July and the Summer Holidays are only a few weeks away! I know that many of you have been doing a fantastic job of having a go at the suggested activities posted each week, so keep up the amazing effort and give this week's activities a try!
This week we are looking at identifying, comparing and ordering angles, and then exploring angles in triangles and quadrilaterals. Please see Summer term – Week 11 (w/c 6th July) on White Rose. Remember to watch the videos before having a go at completing the sheets (attached at the bottom of this blog).
Spellings this week again are adverbials, however this time they are adverbials of manner. These are used to tell us the way or how something is done. Adverbials of manner are a great way of adding extra detail to your writing, and like last week’s spellings could also be used as fronted adverbials. The spellings are attached at the bottom of this blog.
The Talk for Writing booklet, Amazing Aliens, is attached at the bottom of this page. I have already seen some fantastic ideas from Year 4 children who have made a start on the activities in this booklet, so give them a try! I would suggest maybe trying a couple of pages a day as it will keep you familiar with the Talk 4 Writing process.
For those of you who have finished the mini beasts project we are going to do something different for the next few weeks of school. Children’s Art Week will be running for the next 2 weeks and we would like you to take part. Each week there will be a different theme for you to think about.
This week’s theme is Connecting Across Generations. You could have a look at the website and some suggested activities but we know how creative you are and that you can think up your own ideas! It could be sketching, painting, sculpture, photography, animation, modelling, textiles, the list is endless!
Don't forget to join in the Virtual School Games. Miss Sadler will award 20 house points for each attempt you log on the website.
If you have any questions on any of these suggested activities, please email me at email@example.com. Have a great week everyone and stay safe.
