Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

Term 6 Week 4 22nd June 2020

Hope you are all well.

Spellings this week are Months of the year. We are nearly at the end of the spelling lists. Please keep working on familiar words and common exception words.

I have attached a reading comprehension task. There are 3 different sheets that differ for abilities. Please pick the one that your child is able to do. If your child has completed the Talk for Writing work and would like to choose a different one, then please do.

In Maths this week we are looking at measurement. I have attached some alternative lessons on position and directions that White Rose have set. There is no video to go with the lessons.

Below is a link for a website that is offering free art lessons. I have attached a pdf file for lesson one. For this lesson you will not need any special resources. If you use the link below it will take you to the site. Then scroll down to find a video for the children to watch to help them create a seaside-landscape. There are four lessons in total, please feel free to complete them all if you have the resources needed.

Northamptonshire Virtual School Games

The Northamptonshire Virtual School Games has begun and we will be joining schools from all over the county in taking part in a series of weekly sporting challenges over the next couple of months.

All you need to do is watch the challenge videos once they are released Virtual School Games website (www.northamptonshiresport.org/school-games), Facebook or Twitter at 10am Monday morning and then have a go at home or school.

Once you have completed the challenges, log your attempts as many times as you complete them on the Virtual School Games website. For every challenge logged, the school earns Participation Points which are then used to crown the weekly champions. You can also upload your photos and videos attempting the challenges for the chance to win prizes for yourself as well.

As an extra incentive 20 house points will be awarded for each attempt. Northamptonshire Sport will inform me of each attempt and I will update the house point totals.

We will be having another story time this Friday. Mrs Cullum will be sending the details this week via email.

Have a good week and enjoy the sunshine.
