Term 6 Week 3 15th June 2020
I have set you some work on Mathletics on line graphs.
I have created a Mathletics Blog to celebrate the whole school's successes on Mathletics. I will announce the top 10 participators in the whole school and the child, who has achieved the most points, in each year group.
We have 4 White Rose lessons this week. A Friday Family Challenge will be uploaded on Friday. The challenge gets increasingly difficult, all the way up to KS3 and 4 maths.
I have attached the worksheets for these lessons at the bottom of this post.
**Unlike previous weeks, our White Rose worksheets do not match up with the lessons available online. Therefore the teaching slides are not available to view on the White Rose website. If you would like some help please do email me and I will do my best to provide help where I can!**
We are going to complete another Talk4Writing unit, please see week beginning June 1st to download this unit if you haven't done so already.
Spellings this week are adverbials of time. Can you learn the meanings and try to use these words in different sentences.
I have upladaed two chapters of Goodnight Mister Tom this week, with both comprehension tasks. This is so that we can hopefully get to the end of the book before the end of term. I'm really enjoying this book, I hope you are too!
We are still looking at the minibeast project from last week, you could try a task a week from this.
Also I will still be accepting any tasks completed from the Science Bingo half term activity sheet. Please see that blog post for updates on tasks and house points if you do complete and submit any.
And finally, PE! The children who are in school will be spending lots of time outside and I hope you can do the same. Northamptonshire Sport Virtual School Games has begun and we will be joining schools from all over the county in taking part in a series of weekly sporting challenges over the next couple of months. All you need to do is watch the challenge videos once they are released on the Virtual School Games website, Facebook or Twitter at 10am on Monday morning and then have a go at home. Once you have completed the challenges, log your attempts as many times as you complete them on the Virtual School Games website. For every challenge logged, the school earns Participation Points which are then used to crown the weekly champions. You can also upload your photos and videos attempting the challenges for the chance to win prizes for yourself as well. As an extra incentive 20 house points will be awarded for each attempt. Northamptonshire Sport will inform Miss Sadler of each attempt and she will update the house point totals.
