Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

Home learning this week

Good afternoon

Sorry for the delay I’ve been having some internet problems. Here is a summary of some of work that’s been going on this week.

Elize has been very busy designing and building a super house for the Three Little Pigs! She has made a PowerPoint to explain her reasons. Elize has completed the creative seaside landscape picture. She has been strawberry picking, taking her dog on walks through Kelmarsh Tunnel and enjoyed a pic nic in Delapre Abbey. Elize has had her Auntie over for afternoon tea and Sunday dinner with grandad. She has been able to go back to gymnastics but in a sports field. Using Zoom, she has enjoyed Rainbow meetings and play days with Molly and movie nights to relax.

Molly has caterpillars that she is caring for until they complete their life cycle.

Jacob has taken fantastic care of his sunflower and it has grown very tall!

Jamie has been helping his sister Ashleigh complete her bug hotel project. He has created his fairy tale castle and complete his reading comprehension on the Enormous Turnip. Jamie has made an alternative seaside landscape, whilst continuing to work on his Maths, Spellings and Reading.

Evie G has been experimenting with different materials to make her house for the Three Little pigs, she used her two little doggies to help. With Louis she made a house out of marshmallows that didn’t last long. For her alternative tale the two doggies and the Big Bad Lion, they made a house from straw and tissue paper, playing cards and finally a Lego house, that kept the dogs safe and the lion was taken away by the town crier!! Fantastic work.

In school we have started our seaside landscapes. We sketched the outlines and then mixed colours to make different shades that we needed. We had ago at the PE challenge this week. It was different tennis skills, we found this one quite tricky and with the weather being so hot we gave in quite easily.
