Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
Be Kind…Be Safe…Be Responsible

Year 2's Busy Week Part 1

Wow what a very busy week it has been. It has been lovely to hear and see all the fantastic work you have been doing.

I have had to spread the post over 2 blogs.

Molly’s sunflower has started to grow very well, looking forward to seeing when it flowers.

Blake has been working on his art skills creating a collage of the seaside using old magazines. He has also drawn a picture of the titanic and he has continued with his science, looking at the human skeleton. Blake has been completing workbooks, making times tables flashcard and working hard with capital letters improving his writing. Super work!

Zilu has been instruction writing, using suffixes, imperative verbs, correct punctuation and set them out very clearly. She has also planted a watermelon that has started to grow, looking forward to seeing it develop. Zilu has been working hard on her grammar and word building.

Elize has been doing lots of different subjects, she has been keeping fit with Joe wicks and has taken part in the step by step dance lessons. She has been in the garden planting peas, cress, wild flowers and sunflowers, can’t wait to also see those grow. Elize has researched and typed facts about Antarctica and has written a non-chronological report on an Easter egg hunt, whilst reading, practicing spellings and doing lots of Mathletics. She has been making unicorn cookies, Krispie cakes and has made a birthday card for Captain Tom, how kind!

Reuben has been very busy, keeping fit with Joe Wicks, his brother and his cat! He has been working hard on Mathletics and concentrating on his spellings and handwriting. He his now trying to join his letters. Well done!!

Alex has been making the most of the lovely weather doing lots of learning outside making models with playdough. He has been baking cupcakes, making pizza dough, that he then baked in his pizza oven, sounds delicious! Alex had his birthday and enjoyed some messages from his friends. One of his presents was a science kit with a light up writing board, how super!

Paige has been working hard, learning lots about space and creating her own planet ‘The Magical Galaxy.’ She has used a variety of ways to do her research and has been watching videos on youtube. She has been keeping fit, working with Joe Wicks, online dancing and going on bike rides. Paige has spent lots of time in the garden making up games with her sister, playing boardgames and learning how to play cards. As well as all this Paige has been doing lots of reading and Mathletics and drew a picture of the queen’s birthday cake and posted it to her.
